There aren’t many dinner recipes that you get to add a whole bag of chips to as one of the main ingredients! My family loves this Dorito Bake recipe and even my kids ask for seconds!
Ingredients: (Serves 6-8)
2 lbs hamburger meat
1 bag of Doritos (or if you’re cheap like me, store brand nacho cheese chips)
1 can Campbell’s Cheddar Cheese
1 can Cream of Chicken
1 can Cream of Mushroom
1 can Diced Tomatoes
Taco Seasoning
Shredded Cheese
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350.
Step 2: Brown and drain your hamburger meat. It’s not really necessary to season your meat since you’re going to be adding taco seasoning, but you can if you want.
Step 3: Return drained hamburger meat to the skillet and add taco seasoning packet and 1/2 cup of water. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Add Cheddar Cheese, Cream of Chicken, Cream of Mushroom, and diced tomatoes. Let simmer until warm.
Step 5: Place a layer of Doritos on the bottom of your baking dish.
Step 6: Pour everything from your skillet on top of the layer of Doritos.
Step 7: Place another layer of Doritos over your meat mixture and cover your dish with foil. I usually crush the Doritos for the top layer, but that’s just my personal preference.
Step 8: Bake for 20 minutes at 350.
Step 9: Remove from the oven and add your shredded cheese to the top. You don’t need to replace the foil.
Step 10: Bake it with the cheese on top for an additional 5 minutes or until your cheese is melted.
Enjoy 🙂
